Supernatural Glowing Red Eyes in the Dark!

When I was about 23 years old (and sadly still leaving with my folks), I had a terrifying experience. Late one night in the black as pitch dark of my bedroom, I suddenly awake and when I opened my eyes I saw two 'glowing red eye balls' looking at me (without blinking)! Realizing as a rational human being that it was probably a dream I slowly closed my eyes and the image went away. After a moment or two I slowly opened my eyes again and as I did so, the glowing red eyes came back into focus and even looked side to side as I gazed at it in complete horror. I repeated this action two more times. There were no other features to make out, like a body, face or clothes, just the glowing eye balls, complete with pupils. Was it a demon, Satan or a ghost? I didn't know, but when I have found myself in any event that makes me feel even a tug of fear I did what I always do - I leapt to my feet and chased the entity around the room. Of course as soon as I did it vanished. I turned on my bedroom light, (the switch was hard as all get out to find) and nothing appeared out of the place.

My wife has a girlfriend who had an experience that was virtually identical to mine (late at night, dark bedroom, suddenly woke up, etc). Have any of you had a similar experience? Just as an F.Y.I., I have had previous UFO sightings, missing time, etc. But at that same time in my life I was also struggling with my religious convictions, perhaps to the point of even being without faith.
